The Devils could use more scoring in their bottom six, and this Senators forward could give them that.

The New Jersey Devils are likely to try to add to their roster before the 2025 NHL Trade Deadline passes. When looking at their group, it is fair to say that they could benefit by adding a bit more secondary scoring to their bottom six.

Due to this, one player who could be an intriguing player for the Devils to target is Ottawa Senators forward Adam Gaudette.

Gaudette, 28, signed a one-year, $775,000 contract with the Senators this past off-season. The expectation was that he would simply be a depth forward, but he has instead been one of their most impactful offensive contributors.

At this juncture of the season, Gaudette has 13 goals, 15 points, and a plus-4 rating. The only Senators player with more goals than him right now is captain Brady Tkachuk.

With numbers like these, Gaudette could be a solid low-risk, high-reward player for the Devils to pursue for their bottom six. His scoring touch would also make him another option for New Jersey's power play if acquired.

At this point of the season, the Senators have a 13-13-2 record and do not hold a playoff spot. If they do not jump in the standings nearing the deadline, Gaudette could become a popular trade target around the league. The Devils would be wise to enter the mix if this does come to fruition.
