BERN, Switzerland - Team Canada's report card from the IIHF World Hockey Championship:

Forwards

Martin St. Louis, A: He led the tournament with 15 points - but only one of those came in the final three games.

Steven Stamkos, A: It's not out of the question that the 19-year-old will be invited to the Olympic evaluation camp this summer.

Dany Heatley, A: Another good world championship for a guy who gets much more appreciation in Europe than he does at home.

Derek Roy, B-plus: Stepped up with two big goals in semifinal win over Sweden.

Jason Spezza, B: Scored early and often, but was also the source of frustration with frequent giveaways.

Mike Fisher, B: His contribution didn't show up on the stats sheet, but that doesn't mean it wasn't felt.

Shawn Horcoff, B: See above.

Shane Doan, B-minus: The guy deserves top marks for his commitment to the program. However, he didn't play up to his usual standard here.

Travis Zajac, B-minus: A young player who doesn't have a lot of profile that showed he might have a role with some future national teams.

Matthew Lombardi, C-plus: His worst decision of the tournament was deciding not to shoot on a dangerous 2-on-1 in the gold medal game.

Colby Armstrong, C-plus: First-class guy and useful role player who missed a few chances to score.

Scottie Upshall, C-plus: Was really only used in a limited role here.

Defencemen

Shea Weber, A-plus: He was named the top defencemen in the tournament and logged almost 32 minutes in the gold medal game.

Dan Hamhuis, A: Proof that you don't have to be flashy to be effective.

Drew Doughty, A-minus: A star in the making.

Marc-Edouard Vlasic, B: Demonstrated that he's got quick feet and the ability to grow into a top-notch defender.

Chris Phillips, B-minus: Only played nine minutes in Sunday's final.

Braydon Coburn, C-plus: Was sitting in the penalty box when Russia scored its first goal of the gold medal game.

Luke Schenn, C: Wasn't given a shift in the final three games of the tournament.

Goalies

Dwayne Roloson, A-minus: He was only credited with 15 saves against Russia but at least half of them were notable.

Chris Mason, A-minus: Won all four starts and was a great supporter of Roloson when he watched the games from the bench.

Coach

Lindy Ruff, A: Made good account of himself in his first international assignment. Gutsy call to change lines and start Roloson in semifinal was key to helping the team play for gold.
