Anaheim Ducks re-sign blue-liner Joe DiPenta to one-year deal

The 28-year-old collected eight points with 48 penalty minutes (PIM) in 76 games last season with Anaheim.

The Barrie, Ont., native appeared in 16 post-season games during the Ducks' Stanley Cup championship run, going scoreless with four PIM. The 6-2, 205-pound defenceman has played in 151 career NHL regular season games, earning 18 points.

A third-round draft choice (61st overall) by Florida in the 1998 Draft, DiPenta was originally signed by the Ducks as a free agent on August 10, 2005.
