    That's 50.

For the first time in his NHL career, Auston Matthews has broken the 50-goal mark in a season.

Matthews scored his 50th of the season against the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday, giving Toronto a 6-3 lead late in the third.

Matthews' closest mark was 47 goals in 70 games in the COVID-19 shortened 2019-20 season. Matthews has scored 34 goals or more in all six of his NHL seasons, with 249 goals in 395 career games.

Edmonton's Leon Draisaitl is currently sitting at 49 goals in what has been a tight race for the Rocket Richard all season between the two star forwards.
