John E. Sokolowski-USA TODAY Sports - Auston Matthews Wins Second Rocket Richard Trophy With 60 Goals

With 60 goals in 73 games, Auston Matthews has won his second consecutive Rocket Richard Trophy as the NHL's top goal-scorer.

Richard became the first 60-goal scorer in a decade, with Steven Stamkos leading the league back in 2012. Alex Ovechkin, a nine-time Rocket Richard winner, was the only other player in the 21st century to hit 60 when he scored 65 in 2008.

Matthews had 41 goals to lead last year in a season that was shortened due to COVID-19.

Four players -- Matthews, Leon Draisaitl (55), Chris Kreider (52) and Ovechkin (50) broke the 50-goal barrier this season. An additional 13 players had 40 or more goals this season, with Kirill Kaprizov (47) being the first player to miss the 50-goal count.
