    Colorado (28-36-1) at Chicago (36-18-9), 3:00 p.m. EDT

CHICAGO (Ticker) -- The Colorado Avalanche look to snap a

six-game losing streak when they visit the Chicago Blackhawks on

Sunday in a battle of Western Conference foes.

Prior to falling, 3-2, to the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday,

Colorado had surrendered four or more goals in each of its

    previous four contests.

The Avalanche, who are in last place in the crowded West, have

endured six losing streaks of at least three games this season.

Chicago had its two-game winning run halted with a 5-3 setback

to the Eastern Conference-leading Boston Bruins on Saturday. It

is three points away from pulling even with the Calgary Flames

for the third spot in the conference.

The Blackhawks open a four-game homestand with this contest and

are 17-5-6 at the United Center this season.
