Despite scoring first again and starting the third period with a two-goal lead, the New York Rangers ended up on the wrong side of overtime in Game 2, thanks to a Dustin Brown tip-in. Will the Rangers have another chance like they did in Games 1 and 2?

Despite spotting the Rangers another two-goal lead in the Stanley Cup final, the Los Angeles Kings put together their second comeback win. No deficit is too large for this team to overcome - the Kings now hold a 2-0 series lead, even though they haven't yet led a game in the final.
In Game 2, the Rangers led 2-0 after the first period and after the teams exchanged two goals each in the second period, New York was holding a two-goal advantage heading into the last period of regulation. If the Rangers needed a good omen it was that they hadn't lost all playoffs when entering the third period with a lead.
But this Kings team won't be denied.
Los Angeles got third period goals from Dwight King and Marian Gaborik to tie it up and though New York held a slight edge in the first overtime period, the Rangers couldn't get one past a wide awake Jonathan Quick. It wasn't until halfway through the second overtime period that the tie was finally broken by a chance tip-in off the stick of Dustin Brown.

So the series now turns to Madison Square Garden, with the Rangers needing to win four of the next five over the Kings to bring the Stanley Cup back to New York.
But with a knack for overcoming adversity and getting the fortunate bounce, Los Angeles seems destined to end up with the Cup for the second time in three years. The Rangers had two chances, and let both slip away.
