The night of tricks and treats inspires all kinds of creative costumes - including some awesome hockey-themed ones. We reached out to you, our readers, via Twitter to send in the hockey-related costumes you're wearing out and about today. And because you are the best, we had a lot to choose from. Here are some of our favorites:

COSTUME 1 - DONNA FLETCHER FROM SACRAMENTO, CALIF.

From Donna, about the tooth touch: "I tried

doing a Dupuis, but it wouldn’t budge so I had to use black wax." Most excellent.

COSTUME 2 - JOE BREEN FROM BROOKLYN, N.Y.

Bash Brother Fulton Reed from The Mighty Ducks movie series. He can shoot, but, ah, can he skate?

COSTUME 3 - CALEN SCHEIDER, GILBERTS, ILL.

Big Blackhawks fan strutting his championship. Six-year-old Calen currently plays for Little Leafs Hockey out of Dundee, Illinois - and maybe one day for the home-state Hawks.

COSTUME 4 - TRAVIS ROSS FROM TORONTO, ONT.

How about this hockey zombie masterpiece? The bloody jersey, the decomposing left eye, the protruding brain! Braaaiiiiins....BRAAAAAIIIIINS!

COSTUME 5 - JARED LEVINE FROM LONG ISLAND, N.Y.

A hockey Halloween staple: going as your favorite player or an all-time great. No. 99 Wayne Gretzky meeting his newest fan in this picture. Jared plays for the Freeport Arrows Squirt AA team - and has his eye on a few of The Great One's records for the future.

COSTUME 6 - WILL JOHNSTON FROM CHICAGO, ILL.

Another Hawks fan, three-year-old Will is going as "Tommy Hawk" and will be flaunting his Stanley Cup championship when he goes out searching for candy this evening.

From all of us at THN: Have a safe and Happy Halloween!
