No other team in NHL history has won as many games in a season as the 2022-23 Boston Bruins. David Pastrnak also scored his 60th goal of the year.

The Boston Bruins set another single-season record in 2022-23, and they still might not be done yet.
Boston defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 5-3 Sunday night for its 63rd win of the season, an NHL all-time record. The Bruins tied the feat on Saturday, which was held by the 1995-96 Detroit Red Wings and 2018-19 Tampa Bay Lightning.
Sunday's win also made the Bruins the third team in NHL history to break 130 points in a season. They now sit at 131 points, which are tied for second all-time with the 1995-96 Red Wings. Boston only trails the 1976-77 Montreal Canadiens and their 132 points for the most ever. The NHL had ties instead of a chance to win in overtime during those years when Montreal set the 46-year-old record.
The game began with the Bruins and Flyers exchanging goals in the first 64 seconds of the opening frame before David Pastrnak scored his first two goals of the night in the second period. Joel Farabee cut the Bruins' lead to 3-2, but Pastrnak completed the hat trick 39 seconds into the third period to bring him up to 60 goals on the season and 300 in his career. Both teams traded goals to bring the final score to 5-3.
This is the first time since 1995-96 and the ninth time ever the NHL has had multiple 60-goal scorers in one season. Edmonton Oilers all-star Connor McDavid hit the mark on March 29 and now has 64 goals.
The 2022-23 Bruins are already the fastest team to reach 100 points and 50 wins. They clinched the Presidents' Trophy as the NHL's regular-season champions on March 30, requiring the fourth-fewest games to do so in a season of at least 80 games since the trophy was first awarded in 1985-86. Sunday's victory puts them 22 points ahead of the Carolina Hurricanes in second place overall, although the Canes have a game in hand.
With two games left in their schedule, Boston needs just two points to stand alone with the most in a season. They face the Washington Capitals on Tuesday and the Canadiens on Thursday. Both opponents are eliminated from playoff contention and will certainly look to play spoilers.
The Bruins, however, didn't ice their top roster against the Flyers as players rest up and recover before what could be a long post-season. David Krejci, Patrice Bergeron, Charlie McAvoy, Dmitry Orlov, Taylor Hall and goalie Linus Ullmark did not suit up on Sunday.
It'll be one more storyline to watch in the final days of the regular season before the 2022-23 Stanley Cup playoffs, which are expected to begin on Monday, April 17.
