Bruins place Nokelainen on injured reserve, recall Sobotka

BOSTON - The Boston Bruins placed forward Petteri Nokelainen on injured reserve on Friday and recalled forward Vladimir Sobotka on an emergency basis from their AHL affiliate in Providence.

Nokelainen has been out of action since Feb. 10, when he was hit in the right eye with a stick during a game against the San Jose Sharks. He has three assists in 33 games this season.

Sobotka has split the season between Boston and Providence. He has one goal and three assists for the NHL club.
