The Boston Bruins have landed one of the top NCAA free agents, inking Marc McLaughlin to a two-year deal.

Fresh off of an Olympic appearance with the United States, McLaughlin joins the Bruins' stable after a four-year run with Boston College, recording 76 points in 130 games, including two seasons as captain.

The two-time Hockey East champion is known for his defensive play as a forward, but had 21 goals and 32 points in 33 games this season.

The 22-year-old McLaughlin went undrafted in the NHL, but has been a successful late-bloomer and should add to Boston's depth as a potential bottom-six player in the future.
