Canadiens assign forward Desharnais, Pyatt and defenceman Subban to Hamilton

MONTREAL - The Montreal Canadiens have assigned forward David Desharnais and Tom Pyatt along with defenceman P.K. Subban to Hamilton in the American Hockey League.

Desharnais had his first NHL point on Feb. 10 when he recorded an assist against the Washington Capitals, while Pyatt had a goal and an assist in 22 games with Montreal.

Subban made his NHL debut on Feb. 12 against the Philadelphia Flyers and had an assist.

Montreal was 29-28-6, eighth in the Eastern Conference, entering the Olympic break.
