Canadiens recall goalie Marc Denis to fill in for ailing Halak

MONTREAL - As expected, the Montreal Canadiens recalled goaltender Marc Denis from Hamilton of the AHL on Wednesday to fill in for Jaroslav Halak, who is out with a flu.

Denis is expected to back up Carey Price on Wednesday night when the Canadiens play the Sabres in Buffalo.

Denis, 31, is 21-14-0 with the Bulldogs. He played one period for Montreal this season, allowing one goal in a Jan. 2 game in New Jersey.
