Colorado Avalanche recall forward Matt Hendricks from American Hockey League

DENVER - The Colorado Avalanche have recalled forward Matt Hendricks from Lake Erie of the American Hockey League.

The 27-year-old Hendricks is Lake Erie's fourth-leading scorer with 23 points despite playing in fewer than half of the club's 66 games. He missed 12 weeks after breaking his foot while blocking a shot on Oct. 25 at Peoria.

The Blaine, Minn., native has 10 points in his last eight games, including seven goals in his last seven.

Hendricks was acquired by the Avs from Boston on June 24.
