Flyers Have New Trade-Up Possibility in NHL Draft
If the Philadelphia Flyers wish to move up in the first round of the 2025 NHL Draft, the Los Angeles Kings have presented them a golden opportunity to do so.
It's not every day that an NHL executive speaks so openly about wanting another team's trade assets and draft capital, but that's exactly what the Kings did to the Flyers.
The Kings, who don't have a second-round pick this year, apparently covet the Flyers' horde of second-round picks, and may be willing to move out of the first round to get one.
L.A. picks 24th in the first round, so that could be a good spot for the Flyers to jump up from, say, 31 to get a player they really like.
As for the Kings, well, there's a long way to go from 24 to their next pick, which is 88. Their director of amateur scouting, Mark Yannetti, had some interesting things to say about the Flyers before the draft kicks off Friday.
But do the Flyers dance? Will the Sharks intervene? There are some interesting possibilities to be had here; full story linked above.
