Jim 'Boomer' Gordon died on Monday after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 55.
He started on SiriusXM NHL Network Radio helping with technical setup, researching, producing and more, before he went on-air.
Mick Kern wrote a tribute to Gordon on the Sirius XM website, which you can read here:
Gordon had also appeared as a co-host on The Hockey News Radio Show with Adam Proteau. Adam will share his thoughts on Boomer on Thursday. I just wanted to express my condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of Jim Gordon.
The family said if desired, donations to Hockey Fights Cancer or the Ontario SCPA and Humane Society would be sincerely appreciated.
If you listened to him on the radio or had the chance to know him, I'd love to hear your memories of him in the comments.
