I can't say enough about how great the value is for a subscription to The Hockey News magazine.

The Hockey News continues to provide action-packed, elite storytelling and analysis about not just the biggest topics in hockey today but also the people and stories that are less told.

The recent Goalie Issue is not just looking at Connor Hellebuyck and Jake Oettinger discussing their connection on Team USA and every NHL team's netminders, but it features the legendary Martin Brodeur breaking down the art of goalies handling the puck, a natural-born leader in the OHL and stories in the PWHL, Sweden and much more.

The print issues contain at least 116 pages or more. They are jam-packed. Anybody who has seen the Yearbook & Fantasy Guide in person can attest to this. That guide not only has deep dives on every NHL team and the top storylines, but it also features exclusive interviews.

And the artwork is spectacular. I get excited just seeing how amazing the magazine looks. I could add each copy to my decade-long stash of issues after I'm done reading it, and I can come back to it years later and still admire the content and the artwork.

Even for the issues I don't have, I'm going to The Hockey News Archive, which contains every issue going back to 1947. That is 78 years' worth of hockey history. So The Hockey News wasn't just there to cover Ovechkin's goals record in depth, but it was there when Wayne Gretzky broke Gordie Howe's record... and when Howe broke the record in the first place.

The digital archive even comes with the annual subscription.

So when we're looking at 12 print issues of 116 pages or more per year, an extra gift issue to be shipped right away and access to the entire digital archive, the subscription price of $39.95 Cdn is pretty darn good. Oh yeah, and shipping is included in that price.

$39.95 Cdn for all that is a bargain in my humble opinion. I may be biased, despite being a subscriber to The Hockey News long before I worked for it. But for that price, why not experience it all for yourself? Just go to THN.com/free, and you're already nearly there.
