Seattle Kraken assistant coach Jessica Campbell is exploring a new coaching opportunity after her contract expired.
That's led to speculation about whether she could become the coach of a PWHL team or whether she'll get another NHL coaching gig.
From the sounds of the Kraken's statement, Campbell decided to explore other opportunities, and it wasn't the team's decision.
"Jessica has been an important member of our coaching staff for the past four years, demonstrating deep knowledge, and a unique ability to connect with and develop players. We respect her decision and believe strongly in her as a coach in this league," Kraken GM Jason Botterill said.
