On Wednesday, Slovak right winger Pavol Regenda signed a two-way contract extension with the San Jose Sharks.

Before that deal was signed, he appeared on a Slovak podcast, where he talked about his reasons for not taking a potentially more lucrative offer in Russia. He also spoke about the trade last season from the Anaheim Ducks organization to San Jose, living on an AHL salary in a major U.S. city, and the trouble with the Slovak national team.
