The Ted Lindsay Award is heading back to Edmonton.

Connor McDavid was named the winner of the 2022-23 Ted Lindsay Award at the NHL Awards ceremony on Monday, taking home the honor for the fourth time in his young career. He finished ahead of finalists Erik Karlsson of the San Jose Sharks and the Boston Bruins' David Pastrnak.

It's hard to argue with his candidacy, either.

McDavid continued his decimation of the league at large in 2022-23 by reaching new offensive heights, leading the entire NHL in goals (64), assists (89), and points (153) in just 82 games. Those are unprecedented numbers in the modern NHL and once again show that McDavid has the potential to one day end up in the conversation for the greatest player to ever play.

Given that the Ted Lindsay Award is voted on by members of the NHL Players' Association, McDavid's contemporaries across the hockey world clearly think the same.

It's yet another piece of hardware to put on the mantle of a player who might run out of space by the end of the night.
