    Phoenix (28-31-5) at Buffalo (32-25-7), 7:30 p.m. EST

BUFFALO, New York (Ticker) -- The Phoenix Coyotes continue a

five-game road trip on Friday, when they face the Buffalo

    Sabres.

Phoenix snapped a three-game losing streak with a 2-1 victory

over the Eastern Conference-leading Boston Bruins on Thursday.

The win came one day after it traded center Olli Jokinen to the

Calgary Flames for Matthew Lombardi, Brandon Prust and a draft

    pick.

The Coyotes have totaled five goals in their last four contests,

and are second-worst in the West with 61 points.

Buffalo is coming off a 5-1 victory over the Montreal Canadiens

on Wednesday, when All-Star Thomas Vanek returned to the Sabres'

lineup after missing nine games because of a broken jaw.

Vanek did not record any points, but he contributed to helping

them to their most prolific output since a 6-5 win against San

    Jose on February 13.
