Drew Doughty is best known for his dominating play on the ice, but in his hometown of London, Ont., he’s also well know for his contributions to the community.

The Kings defenseman held the third annual Drew Doughty Grand Slam for Cancer this weekend in support of Wellspring London and Region. Wellspring provides various programs and support for individuals living with cancer and those who care for them.

THN.com’s Tyson Geick caught up with Doughty at the diamond to discuss the charitable event, the chance of playing in the Olympics again and who should play goal for Canada in Sochi, Russia.
