After a flurry of bouts near the end of the Wild's 4-1 win over the Ducks in Game 4 on Tuesday night, the teams are sure to be on edge when they meet again Thursday night in Anaheim. Brad May might not be around, though. The Ducks left-winger faces possible suspension after receiving a match penalty and game misconduct for decking Minnesota defenceman Kim Johnsson with less than two minutes left.

Wild enforcer Derek Boogaard claimed it was a sucker punch and was angry because Johnsson never fights.

"It shows that a guy like Brad May has no respect, so he deserves no respect from anybody," Boogaard said. "And that's how he's going to get treated."

May declined specific comment on whether his match penalty was deserved.

"It's competitive out there," he said. "Two good teams going at it, trying to win."

Seconds before May's hit, Anaheim's Kent Huskins was fighting Minnesota's Adam Hall. Shawn Thornton joined the melee late and received a game misconduct penalty.

Ducks coach Randy Carlyle didn't think Thornton's action was necessary.

"Huskins can handle himself. It wasn't a huge mismatch," Carlyle said.
