The Edmonton Oilers have signed winger Evander Kane to a four-year contract worth $5.125 million per season.
Kane joined the Oilers for the second half of the 2021-22 season, recording 22 goals and 39 points during the regular season. Kane tied Nathan MacKinnon for the playoff lead in goals with 13 despite playing in just 15 games.
In a full season, Kane was close to a 70-point pace with the Oilers, which would have been good behind Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl for the team lead. Kane has 545 points in 812 games over 12 years with Atlanta, Winnipeg, Buffalo, San Jose and Edmonton.
