    Toronto (26-27-13) at Ottawa (25-29-10), 7:30 p.m. EDT

OTTAWA (Ticker) -- Rookie goaltender Brian Elliott and the

Ottawa Senators look to extend their winning streak to three

games on Monday, when they host the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Ottawa snapped a three-game skid with a 4-2 victory over the

Edmonton Oilers on Thursday and built off that success by

posting a 6-3 win over the Buffalo Sabres two days later.

Elliott had started only twice in favor of Alex Auld in nine

contests prior to being in goal for both of the Senators' recent

    wins. The 23-year-old Elliott is 9-4-3 with a 2.81

    goals-against average this season.

Toronto is coming off a 4-1 drubbing at the hands of the Oilers

on Saturday, falling to 1-1-1 since recording a season-high

    four-game winning streak.

The Maple Leafs have earned points in eight of their last nine

contests, but are 11 points away from catching Pittsburgh,

Florida and the New York Rangers for the eighth and final spot

    in the Eastern Conference.
