Flames forward Todd Bertuzzi out a month after surgery

CALGARY - Calgary Flames forward Todd Bertuzzi will miss about a month of action after undergoing surgery to repair cartilage in his knee.

"It was better to go in and get it cleaned up and ready to go," Flames GM Darryl Sutter said on the team's website. Sutter noted that Bertuzzi had been having trouble with the knee for the last couple of weeks and wasn't going to play in the last two Flames home games last weekend.

Bertuzzi has 15 goals and 43 points in 57 games with Northwest Division-leading Calgary this season.
