Flames look to keep rolling vs. Wild
Minnesota (30-24-5) at Calgary (36-18-6), 9:00 pm EST
CALGARY, Alberta (Ticker) -- The Calgary Flames will aim for
their fourth consecutive win when they host the Minnesota Wild
on Friday in a battle of Northwest Division foes.
The Flames have gone 6-0-2 over their last eight contests
following a four-game losing streak. Captain Jarome Iginla
scored two goals and set up two others during Tuesday's 4-1
triumph over the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Calgary has opened up a 10-point advantage in the division
standings. The Wild, who have lost all three meetings with the
Flames this season by one goal, are 13 points back in third.
Minnesota, which is starting a six-game road swing, is coming
off a 2-1 shootout loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday.
Antti Miettinen netted a shorthanded goal in that one.
The Wild have not won at Pengrowth Saddledome since March 17,
2007, losing five straight in Calgary over that stretch.
Over their season-long trip, Minnesota will play its first three
contests in Western Canada before making three stops in
California.
