Rookie Shayne Gostisbehere made history in Philadelphia’s 3-2 overtime win over Nashville on Friday night.

The 22-year-old defenseman scored Philadelphia's overtime winner for the second time in three games becoming the first Flyers' rookie to score multiple overtime winners in a single season.

"It’s a fun ride right now. I don’t have any plans on getting off it," Gostisbehere told the team's site postgame. "I’ve never scored that many OT winners in my life so it’s a surreal moment, but we’re going to keep going, look forward to New York (Rangers)."

Gostisbehere, who has three goals and two assists in seven games this season, one-timed a Claude Giroux feed at past Pekka Rinne at 4:08 of the extra period.

"It was a great play by (Giroux) to draw that up and great entry by Jake (Voracek) there and then (Wayne Simmonds) got his eyes," Gostisbehere said.

Colin McDonald scored his first as a member of the Flyers and Michael Del Zotto had the other Philly goal.

Rinne became the fourth Finnish-born goaltender to make his 400th career NHL appearance in the loss.
