Defenseman was injured in Washington's first round series
Vincent Iorio was returned to the Hershey Bears today after being loaned to the Washington Capitals, he is expected to rejoin the Bears lineup for Game 3 against Hartford.
Iorio was injured in Game 1 of the Capitals first round loss to the New York Rangers and has not played since.
The 21-year-old had 14 points in 60 games for Hershey this season and zero in seven games in the NHL for Washington.
A second round pick in the 2021 NHL draft, Iorio is seen as an effective defensive defenseman with good size.
This will be a welcome boost to the Bears who are currently up 2-0 in their best-of-five series against the Hartford Wolf Pack.
Iorio played 15 games in the playoffs and won a Calder Cup with Hershey last season.
