THN.com/podcast. From THN On The 'O': Shane Wright Discusses 'Crazy' Season So Far

We may have crossed the halfway mark for many leagues across the hockey world, and before we start getting ready for the various all-star breaks, the sport gave us a few more fun stories to chat about:

Daniel Sprong Tries the Superman at the Kraken Skills Competition

Breakaway contests are almost always the highlight of any team's skills competition when it comes to the talent and creativity that comes out of them. For the Seattle Kraken's event, Daniel Sprong tried out the Superman move that Patrick Kane perfected at the 2012 NHL All-Star Game, but he had an illegal twist.

The hand deke may never become a legal way to score in an NHL game, but for an event like this, who cares about the rules? This added to the creativity and the fun.

The Kelowna Rockets' Grocery Shopping Experience Is Hilarious

Learning how to grocery shop is a part of life, and for Max Graham, Ethan Mittelsteadt and Dylan Wightman, they learned truly how expensive certain things are.

As the video shows, the players learn about how pricey cheese can be and the importance of staying within your budget.

You have to love that the players still found a way among the important items pick up some cupcake mix on the trip.

Buffalo Sabres Sport Youth Jerseys

Showing love and giving back to various communities is very important in the NHL, and the Buffalo Sabres supported youth hockey teams in a very cool way. As part of their game-day outfits, Sabres players wore the jerseys of various youth hockey teams before their game this past Saturday night against a team that did the same thing earlier in the season, the Anaheim Ducks.

As shown in the thread below, the players looked amazing, representing the various teams in the Buffalo area.

It would be great to see more teams follow suit to honor teams representing the future of the sport.
