IIHF Hall of Famer Viktor Kuzkin passes away at age 67
Viktor Kuzkin, a former defenseman who played for CSKA Moscow and the Soviet national team for nearly two decades starting in 1958, died of heart failure at the age of 67 earlier this week.
Kuzkin won 12 national championships with CSKA and eight world championship gold medals during his career.
Following his playing career, Kuzkin became the assistant coach with CSKA and also coached in Japan.
Kuzkin was inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 2005.
