The Vancouver Canucks have added middle-six forward Ilya Mikheyev on a $4.75-million deal.

Mikheyev had 21 goals and 32 points during the regular season and another four points in the playoffs for the best numbers of his career. Mikheyev has seen his overall game count limited due to injuries during his care, but he's a tough player to play against.

Mikheyev has 72 points in 146 career games, mainly acting as a buzzsaw middle-six energy forward with the Leafs.
