Florida (31-22-8) at New Jersey (39-19-3), 1:00 p.m. EST

NEWARK, New Jersey (Ticker) -- The New Jersey Devils were

inspired by the return of goaltender Martin Brodeur.

Looking to build off its latest win, New Jersey hosts the

Florida Panthers on Saturday.

After missing four months with a devastating injury, Brodeur

made 24 saves and All-Star Zach Parise and Travis Zajac each

recorded a goal and two assists as the Devils blanked the

Colorado Avalanche, 4-0, on Thursday.

Captain Jamie Langenbrunner scored a goal and set up another,

Patrik Elias also tallied and defenseman Paul Martin notched two

assists for New Jersey, which went 32-17-1 without Brodeur.

The 36-year-old Brodeur registered his third shutout of the

season and 99th of his career - leaving him four behind Terry

Sawchuk's all-time mark of 103. He also recorded his 545th

career win, pulling within six of Patrick Roy's all-time record.

Devils coach Brent Sutter declined to commit to starting Brodeur

in this contest. If the future Hall of Famer sits, Kevin Weekes

- who paired with Scott Clemmensen to weather the storm without

Brodeur for 50 games - will get the nod.

Florida, which is coming off a 2-1 win over the New York Rangers

on Thursday, stymied New Jersey, 4-0, on February 17.

The Panthers, however, have dropped three of six after winning

seven of nine.
