Jet Greaves Shuts Out Syracuse, Justin Pearson Provides The Offense As Cleveland Takes 1-0 Series Lead
Justin Pearson scored the only goal of the game and Jet Greaves stopped all 28 Syracuse shots as the Monsters shut out the Crunch 1-0 and take a 1-0 series lead.
Pearson scored his goal while shorthanded 4:46 into the third period which ended up being the game-winner. It was an absolute beauty and I encourage you to watch the video below.
This was a very even game in a series that was projected to be a tight one. Neither team was giving an inch other than the Monsters taking too many penalties. Cleveland gave the Crunch four power plays, but Jet Greaves and the Monsters PK stood tall and stopped all the Syracuse opportunities. Per the usual, Jet Greaves was outstanding, earning his first career AHL playoff shutout.
