

Mourners gather for a candlelight vigil to remember Columbus Blue Jackets left winger Johnny Gaudreau and his brother at Nationwide Arena on Wednesday, Sept. 4.Johnny Gaudreau and his brother, Matthew Gaudreau, will be remembered in a memorial service on Monday at noon ET.
Family and close friends of the two hockey players will attend the service at a church in Broomall, Pa. The Columbus Blue Jackets team and staff are also expected to attend, as Johnny Gaudreau played for them the last two seasons after parts of nine seasons with the Calgary Flames.
For the rest of the public, the Blue Jackets and Flames plan to stream the service live on their official websites.
Colorful attire is appropriate for the service, according to an obituary for the Gaudreau brothers.
The brothers died on Aug. 29 while riding their bicycles when a driver struck them from behind with his car in the evening in Oldmans Township, N.J. Johnny Gaudreau was 31, and Matthew Gaudreau was 29. They were expected to be groomsmen for their sister's wedding the day after.
The alleged driver, 43-year-old Sean M. Higgins, is charged with two counts of death by auto as well as reckless driving, possession of an open container and consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle, according to Sportsnet.
On Sunday, former Pittsburgh Penguins captain Mario Lemieux posted one of the latest of many tributes to the Gaudreau brothers on his foundation's social media account.
"The entire world is here to support the Gaudreau family," Lemieux wrote. "Johnny and Matthew had such an amazing impact, both on and off the ice - and far beyond hockey. We are all one big family. You will be missed, but your legacy lives."
Contributions in the brothers' memory can be made to the John & Matthew Gaudreau Foundation, the family announced.
