Pittsburgh (30-26-6) at Chicago (34-17-8), 8:30 pm EST

CHICAGO (Ticker) -- The Pittsburgh Penguins hope their newest

addition can make an immediate impact.

Chris Kunitz will be available when the Penguins begin a

five-game road swing against the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday.

Pittsburgh acquired Kunitz - along with fellow left wing Eric

Tangradi - from the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday for defenseman

Ryan Whitney. Kunitz has notched 16 goals and 35 points in 62

games this season and has scored more than 20 goals in each of

the previous two campaigns.

The Penguins, however, could be without captain Sidney Crosby

for a second straight game.

Crosby missed Wednesday's 1-0 win over the New York Islanders

with a groin injury. The All-Star center has collected 23 goals

and 56 assists on the season.

The Blackhawks are hoping to avoid a third straight loss.

Chicago squandered a two-goal lead in the third period during

Tuesday's 5-3 setback to the Nashville Predators.
