The Cleveland Monsters Win Game 6 Of The Eastern Conference Finals In Overtime To Force A Game 7

Owen Sillinger(3) scored early in the first, and Brendan Gaunce(3) scored in dramatic fashion with just 33 seconds left to tie the game and send it overtime on Monday night. Jake Christiansen(1) would bury the game-winner 17:31 into the overtime to win it for the Monsters. This was Christiansen's first game of the 2024 Calder Cup Playoffs.

The once-dead-in-the-water Monsters have won the last three games to force a game 7. Hershey hadn't lost at home the entire playoffs until last night's game. This marks the third time in the series that the Monsters have tied the game in the last minute of regulation to send it to overtime. Although they lost the first two games in overtime, they were able to pull this out to force a tie-breaker game.

Jet Greaves made some huge stops and was able to control Hershey for most of the game. After giving up the go-ahead goal with under a minute left, his teammates refused to quit, while Josh Dunne provided the heroics late in the game.

Wednesday night, they'll play for the Eastern Conference title, and a chance to play the Coachella Valley Firebirds.
