On a Sunday a report from Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman suggested that the Washington Capitals will be buying CapFriendly, a NHL salary-cap site for fans, media, and teams.
Although it makes sense for an NHL team to buy this information and shut it down so no one else has access, this leaves fans, media members, and even teams at a lost considering how useful CapFriendly was.
There is good news though. PuckPedia is another site that keeps up with every team's salary cap and has other settings that CapFriendly does not. Over the past year PuckPedia has undergone a massive revamp. They added a 'Pick Value' and 'Cap Relief' calculator as two of their many features.
They also have an Agent Tracker which shows who players have as their agents and how many clients an agency has. Some super cool features that other sites do not have.
So make sure to follow along on PuckPedia once CapFriendly goes dark.
