The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed 6-foot-8 forward Curtis Douglas to a future two-year entry-level contract that begins in 2022-23.
Douglas, a Dallas Stars draft pick in 2018, has spent the season in the AHL with the Toronto Marlies, recording eight goals and 27 points and 76 penalty minutes in 49 games.
The Oakville, Ont. native split his first pro season in 2020-21 between Steel Wings Linz in Austria and AHL Belleville. Known for his big, physical presence, Douglas is listed by the Toronto Marlies at 6-foot-8 and 249 pounds, which would make him the biggest forward in NHL history if he ever skated in a game.
