Marcel Mueller scores hat trick as Toronto Marlies hammer Monsters 7-4

CLEVELAND - Marcel Mueller scored a hat trick as the Toronto Marlies shelled the Lake Erie Monsters 7-4 in American Hockey League play Saturday.

Simon Gysbers, Alex Foster, Christian Hanson and Korbinian Holzer each added singles for Toronto (15-10-4).

Julian Talbot scored twice for the Monsters (12-11-6), while Luke Walker and Curtis Fraser added one each.

Marlies goaltender James Reimer made 23 saves for the win.

Jason Bacashihua and Trevor Cann combined for 20 saves in net for Lake Erie.
