Metallurg Magnitogorsk will face Lev Prague in KHL’s Gagarin Cup final

Metallurg Magnitogorsk booked its place in the Kontinental League Gagarin Cup final, but a dazzling display from Salavat Yulaev goalie Andrei Vasilevsky made for an anxious evening for the home fans before Magnitogorsk ultimately prevailed 1-0 in overtime, winning the series 4-1

Yaroslav Khabarov broke the deadlock in the second minute of OT, but before that Vasilevsky made 37 saves as the teams failed to find the net in regulation.

The win sets up a final between Metallurg and Lev Prague, which beat Lokomotiv Yaroslavl 4-1 in the other semifinal, with the series scheduled to start in Magnitogorsk on Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 20, before moving to Prague on April 22 and 24.
