Michael Duco scores twice as Americans beat Bulldogs 4-1

HAMILTON - Michael Duco scored twice as the Rochester Americans beat the Hamilton Bulldogs 4-1 in AHL action Friday.

Karl Stewart and Shawn Matthias also scored for last-place Rochester, which improved to 23-32-0-5. David Desharnais scored Hamilton's only goal at 5:59 in the second period as the Bulldogs dropped to 35-22-2-0.

Americans goaltender Mike Brodeur made 23 saves for the win, while at the other end Marc Denis stopped 21 shots for the Bulldogs before being replaced by Cedrick Desjardins who stopped three.
