Mike Fisher's teammate says wedding to Carrie Underwood was normal

MILTON, Ont. - One of Mike Fisher's teammates says the wedding to country music star Carrie Underwood wasn't unlike other ceremonies he's attended.

Ottawa Senators defenceman Chris Phillips was among the 250 guests in attendance when the couple tied the knot at a luxury resort in Georgia on Saturday.

"It was neat to be there, but once you were there it was like an elaborate wedding—a regular wedding," Phillips said Monday during the NHLPA's charity golf tournament. "There was a lot of hockey guys there and we had a good time."

Several members of the press tried to stake out the ceremony, but they didn't cause any distraction.

"They were around but they did a great job of keeping them on the outside," said Phillips. "It was a beautiful wedding. Everyone that was there had a great time."

Fisher and Underwood dated for more than a year before getting married.
