Montreal Canadiens defenceman Hal Gill hospitalized with undisclosed ailment

MONTREAL - Defenceman Hal Gill has been hospitalized with an undisclosed ailment, the Montreal Canadiens confirmed Thursday.

Gill has missed three games. The team has said only that he had a virus.

Reports said the 36-year-old would also miss a game Saturday against the New York Rangers.
