MONTREAL - Forward Michael Cammalleri stayed home sick on Monday and won't accompany the Montreal Canadiens on a road trip to play the Rangers in New York.

Cammalleri left early in the second period of Montreal's 3-2 overtime win over Boston on Saturday night with an unspecified illness.

At a team practice, his spot on a line with Tomas Plekanec and Andrei Kostitsyn was taken by Lars Eller, who has been a healthy scratch the last three games.

The Canadiens face the Rangers on Tuesday night.
