Nashville Predators claim tough guy Brian McGrattan on waivers from Anaheim

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Nashville Predators claimed enforcer Brian McGrattan off waivers from the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old McGrattan has three goals, 11 assists and 395 penalty minutes in 182 NHL games with Ottawa, Phoenix and Calgary.

The six-foot-four, 235-pound Hamilton native split last season between Providence and Syracuse of the American Hockey League, recording 15 points (10 goals, five assists) and 153 penalty minutes in 59 games.

McGrattan was selected 104th overall by the Los Angeles Kings in 1999.
