We finally know who will be behind the benches at the 2023 NHL All-Star Game.
The NHL unveiled the four coaches who will represent their respective divisions at the event in Florida next month, with Boston's Jim Montgomery earning the nod as the Atlantic Division bench boss, Carolina's Rod Brind'Amour guiding the Metropolitan Division, Dallas' Peter DeBoer overseeing the Central Division and Vegas' Bruce Cassidy rounding out the group for the Pacific Division.
The coaching selections were determined by team point percentage as of Tuesday night, with the coaches of each of the four division-leading teams being chosen to head to the Sunshine State in February.
This All-Star Game will also feature an interesting subplot as it pertains to its coaches, as Jim Montgomery took over the Boston Bruins' bench duties from Bruce Cassidy over the summer before Cassidy landed with the Golden Knights, with both coaches now set to face off against each other during the festivities after successful seasons in their new locales. And who did Cassidy replace in Vegas? You guessed it, DeBoer.
Stay tuned for more all-star announcements, as voting for the remaining 12 players remains open until Jan. 17.
