LAS VEGAS, Nev. - NHL teams are going to have more money to spend on players next season.
The league's salary cap has been bumped to US$59.4-million, the fifth straight time the number has increased since being introduced coming out of the 2004-05 lockout.
The minimum a team can spend—known as the salary floor—will be $43.4 million.
This year's salary cap was set at $56.8 million.
The cap number is based on league revenues.
