NHL Unveils First 32 Players Headed to All-Star Weekend in Toronto

The fan vote also opened to see who will be the remaining 12 players joining the festivities, which includes an NHL all-star fantasy draft. Here are the stats for the first 32 players.

Segment 5: Who's the next coach to get fired? And at what point of the season should fans consider their playoff hopes gone?

The news is out on the first set of players named to the NHL All-Star Weekend in Toronto.

The league unveiled 16 players from each conference – one per team – slated to play in the All-Star Game. Twelve more players will join the pool, but it's up to the fans to decide who in a fan vote. It's now open online at NHL.com/vote and on X (formerly Twitter). Fans can select a maximum of 12 players per online ballot and can cast 10 ballots at most in a 24-hour period. On X, fans must include the hashtag #NHLAllStarVote and the player's full name or X handle. Standalone posts, reposts, replies and quote posts all count.

As part of the NHL's re-emerged all-star player fantasy draft on Feb. 1, four team captains and a celebrity captain will select from the pool of stars to craft four 11-player teams for a 3-on-3 tournament on Feb. 3. In between the two days, 12 players will compete in a revamped skills competition on Feb. 2, with the winner taking home $1 million.

While most players appeared in an All-Star Game before, there are eight first-timers, Connor Bedard of the Chicago Blackhawks, Sam Reinhart of the Florida Panthers and Jake Oettinger of the Dallas Stars.
