HT: 6-foot-0 WT: 205 pounds

DOB: Dec. 5, 1979 In: Espoo, Finland

Hockey Inspirations: "My dad used to play, so I pretty much grew up at the rink. So ever since I was a lil' kid I knew I wanted to play hockey, too, ‘cause my dad played. Then obviously, being from Finland, Jari Kurri, Esa Tikkanen winning a Stanley Cup with Edmonton was always a big deal."

First Hockey Memory: "Playing with my first team jersey Ev Landshut of Germany - my dad played over there. (Color of the jersey?) It was white with blue stripes. I don't know if it's a coincidence, but it’s kind of similar to the one I'm wearing right now."

Hobbies/Leisure Activities: "Play badminton. During the summer I spend as much time as I can with my family. I Relax. During the season you watch a lot of TV shows."

Nicknames: "Larry (smiles). Haggy. Nik."

Favorite Movies: "They always change. Matrix."

Last Book Read: "Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist and Axl Rose’s biography, W.A.R."

Favorite TV Show: "House, 24, Prison Break, Lost."

Musical Tastes: "Him – a Finnish band; Night Wish, Fintelligence - that's Finnish, too. I would say those three."

First Job: "I was a chef, but I was doing all the dishes."

Current Car: "Escalade." (red)

Favorite Website: "I always read the Finnish magazines, or Finnish newspaper websites."

Pre-Game Feeling: "(Thinking about) I'm gonna get a chance at some point of the game. I just gotta make sure I put the puck in."

Favorite Meal: "Wife-made chicken parm."

Favorite Ice Cream Flavor: "Chocolate chip cookie dough."

Greatest Sports Moment: "Probably winning the world juniors in '98 and scoring the overtime goal in the final (vs. Russia)."

Most Painful Moment: "Losing to Sweden in the Torino Olympic final."

Closest Hockey Friends: "I don't know if I want to name anybody."

Funniest Players Encountered: "Jamal Mayers. (Why?) He likes to talk a lot."

Toughest Competitors: "The Koivu brothers. (Why?) They play a little dirty, but you're not allowed to touch them. So it's always - we're like good buddies - but on the ice it's always whacking and slashing. But off the ice we get along."

Favorite Players To Watch: "(Pavel) Datsyuk, (Henrik) Zetterberg."

Funny Hockey Memory: "Now it makes me laugh, Patrik Stefan's empty netter that he missed. Now it's funny, but at the time playing with Dallas, it wasn't funny. Now you can kinda laugh about it a little bit."

Last Vacation: "Rome."

Most Memorable Goal: "Overtime goal against Russia in world juniors”

Favorite Uniforms: "Nothing really pops up to my mind."

People Qualities Most Admired: "Honest. Positive. Outgoing."
